Beach Loungin' with Bather

During my vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico I was on the hunt for some new swimwear to feature. I came across Bather, a Men's Surf & Swimwear company which fit naturally with my personal style.

While learning Bather is manufactured and designed in Toronto, Canada, I liked the idea of supporting local and economic talent. Styled perfectly for the chillin' at the beach as well as wandering the sunny soaked streets, my Bather shorts quickly became my favourite thing to wear on my vacation.

My favourite challenge about vacation fashion is finding a way to style swimwear with an everyday outfit when exploring the city.

If you want to shop these looks I'm wearing the multi coral swim trunk, and solid back swim trunk.

Check out @bathertrucks on instagram for more awesome beach lifestyle inspiration.

Open your Xenses

I'm really excited to share my experience at Xenses park with you during my trip to Cancun. Honestly I wasn't sure to expect before going because it just opened this year and I didn't hear too much information about it, but once you go there are so many great surprises and you can't put a price on the excitement. It really went above my expectations because there were a lot of different attractions.  Entering the Xensitorium was not only the highlight of the park but of my overall vacation being in Cancun. I was happy to take my brother for his Birthday and I was so happy to hear that it was also his favourite part of the trip. I wasn't able to take any photos in the Xensitorium because it was pitch black and you had to navigate through the cave by feeling the walls and the temperature, sounds, textures and everything changes and it really creates the illusion that you are in these exotic locations, especially when you hear the annoyance of pesky mosquitoes in a swamp while crossing a rickety bridge. I don't want to give too much of the park away because it's meant to be a mystery until you see it for yourself. If you are planning a trip to Cancun, or the Riviera Maya area for vacations I genuinely recommend this place if you like adventure, a bit of suspense, Art and optical illusions. Below are a few pictures that I took during my time there. Of course I took way too many pictures but I'm only sharing the ones where I don't look scared ;) Have a nice day everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog!! -Bobby

Treasures of Tulum

One of the places I was most looking forward to seeing was the Tulum Ruins in Mexico. I found it very enchanting to see the ruins beside the beach which reminded me of a set from an old adventure film. My look was actually inspired by Indiana Jones while being on a search for lost treasures. Before I left for Mexico I got these basic swim shorts at value village for $4.99 and a patch of aztec print from the fabric store. I wanted to sew a patch of aztec print on the pocket to make the basic neutral shorts to make them unique. Below are some photos of the process while making them!
This photo starting from the left to right is my friend Gary, my mom, my brother Arthur, me, my sister Alicia and her boyfriend Mark.

Stay tuned for more adventures! Tomorrow I'll be posting photos of the pyramids from Chichen Itza! More reasons to show some love and follow my blog! Follow Bobby Raffin

A place we call paradise.

Here I am on vacation in Cancún, Mexico. Ever since I got my new camera, I've been really motivated to capture every beautiful moment to come my way. In fact I took all of these photos myself, thankfully to the self timer feature. I tried to capture life and culture within each photo while being on a journey. Even though Cancún is surely losing it's culture with an overpopulation of tourists you can still find real Mexico within it's cracks. By that I mean, my favourite part was riding the jammed packed city vans rushing down unfinished roads. The exotic life which I've never seen from the place that I come from. I felt so uplifted by the beautiful scenery, that most of the time I felt as if I was dreaming. And  even though I was only gone for just ten days, a lot has happened. So stay tuned as I share many more stories, because this post is just the beginning to many more cherished memories...
